The construction industry is in a very innovative phase. New technologies are being developed in North America, as well as being imported from Europe and Asia, to meet the needs of consumers. Consumers are demanding homes and buildings which are more efficient and are priced competitively. Factory built home production has always been at the forefront of construction innovation in an effort to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Our industry will see many products borrowed from other industries in the near future. Some of these technologies are already in place in Europe and Asia and are awaiting certification in North America. These include, but are not limited to:

  • plug and play high voltage wiring systems
  • push up floor systems
  • hanging ceiling systems
  • moveable interior partitions
  • click fit O ring plumbing
  • modular bathrooms and kitchens (partial or full)
  • modular lighting and electrical components
  • digital home energy systems
  • de/re-mountable wall covering systems
  • new panel materials, tapes, adhesives, fasteners, gaskets
  • wall connection systems
